Discovering Narnia

At the end of June 2013 the church held an exhibition,
which has become an annual event to which we invite local schools.
The aim of the exhibition was to show that it was their faith in Christ Jesus that made a difference to the way these Christians lived their lives, serving other people.

Over 300 people from Accrington and surrounding towns visited the exhibition, including over 200 school children. Schools had been contacted earlier in the year and 3 schools took up the offer of a visit, which included a short illustrated talk, a look around the exhibition, worksheets and a craft. Feedback from the schools was very positive, and many teachers indicated that they would bring pupils to future exhibitions.

Feedback from the teachers was very positive with teachers indicating that they would bring pupils to any future exhibition activities.

To end the week of exhibition, we opened to the public on the Saturday when we provided tea/coffee and cake and lots of opportunity to engage in conversation, as we endeavoured to share the gospel. Children were kept busy with craft activities, which proved very popular. We anticipated that we would have plenty of visitors but praise God that over 150 people visited, with many staying for long periods of time.

If you wish you can view the exhibition material here and should you wish to have printable copies please contact philip@peelstreet.org.uk. The church is also able to lend out much of the exhibition material should other churches wish to organise an exhibition.
